Congratulations to the B08 Black and the B05 Black for capturing the Washington Youth Soccer State Championship this weekend. Both teams have earned the right to represent Washington State against state champions from across the western US at the US Youth Soccer Regional Championships. The Far West Regional tournament will be held June 23-29, 2023 in Boise, Idaho.
The B08 came out strong against Washington Rush, scoring 3 goals in the first half. The Rush came storming back in the 2nd half, scoring twice, bringing the score to 3-2 with several minutes left in the game. The B08 held on and defeated the Rush, 3-2.
The B05 also opened the scoring, going up 2-0 by halftime on Seattle United. The teams traded goals in the 2nd half, with the team clinching the title with a 5-3 win.
Both teams head into tryouts this week. Congratulations to the B08 and B05 Black teams for bringing home the cup!
