Marco Vega was born and raised in Skagit County and graduated from Burlington Edison High School. His love for the beautiful game began at 6 years old with his dad as his first coach and the endless support of his mother.
Under the guidance of Todd Stauber and Skagit Storm (NWU) from the age of 13 Marco's passion for the game flourished and set the foundation for his playing career as well as coaching. Todd was inspirational, he taught Marco to believe in himself and care for others, which has rooted itself within his philosophy of coaching today.
Marco's journey continued with playing for Skagit Storm, NW Nationals, WFC, Burlington Edison High School, Whatcom Community College & the Vancouver Metro Soccer League. While playing in the VMSL he began coaching with WFC prior to joining Northwest United in 2011. He earned his D License while with NWU as well as coached with Skagit Valley Community College, Burlington Edison High School, EDP & Surf Academy.
