There was a time when many teams maintained a team website. There are several options for doing it.
- See if there is a parent or manager on the team who builds websites.
- Check out eteamz. Those are flexible and fairly easy to set up. Tons of teams use them.
- Inside Soccer allows you to create very nice websites. 30 day trial, then $40 per year. See intro page.
- If you are interested in creating a free team website, email Anna Schoneker. See her website for the GU12-Hansen team. It is very nice.
- If you already have a team website and would like a link to it posted on the Club website, please send the URL to NWUnited Communications.

An Important Note to Parents About Select Fees: All across the State, select soccer fees are higher than the fees families are used to paying in recreation soccer. This is primarily because:
- In select soccer, there is a lot more soccer: more tournaments, more league play and more training. And it’s usually over 10 months rather than the 2 months typical of rec ball; and
- Kids learn more and learn it faster with higher level coaches and trainers.
To address this, NWUnited has a substantial scholarship program for families who need that assistance. In addition, many teams raise additional funds through sponsorships, car washes, bake sales, etc. These extra funds can be used to lower the casts for all on the team or just for those who most need assistance in order to keep playing the game they love.

Please read this article on the ByteSize Soccer web site. A great reminder of appropriate and inappropriate sideline behavior that will help make the game enjoyable for all.

The PSSA offers private training times in the Skagit Valley area. As part of their contract with PSSA, all Skagit Storm players receive private training at a major price reduction of $25/session. This compares to $60/session in other areas of Washington.
Visit the new website for more information and to register for a session.

Here is a strengthening and stretching program to reduce ACL tears. It has had great results in controlled research trials. The program was highlighted in the August issue of Play-On. The risk of ACL tears is higher in girls than in boys. Take a look here.
