Coach reimbursement and stipends
(The following policies were adopted by the Storm Board on May 24, 2004.)
Reimbursement for Expenses
Coaches and volunteers may be reimbursed for expenses as follows:
| Type of Expense | Limit on Reimbursement |
| Mileage for practices, tournaments, and league games. | Up to $0.38 per mile for distances beyond 10 miles of the coach’s home |
| Hotel | Actual expense up to $100.00 per night when farther than 125 miles from home for LPT and League Play. Other tournaments must be agreed to by the team. |
| Meals | Actual expense up to $20.00 per day when more than 125 miles from home for LPT and League Play. Other tournaments must be agreed to by the team. |
| Other: Copying, long distance phone calls | Actual expenses |
It is not appropriate for a coach to be the team treasurer and reimburse themselves for expenses. All reimbursements must have a receipt. In the case of mileage a signed statement of the miles driven will suffice.
Stipends for Contracted and Licensed Coaches
Coaches may receive (from team funds) stipends not to exceed the following amounts based on their licensing status.

| “A” license | $40.00 per month per player |
| “B” license | $30.00 per month per player |
| “C” license | $20.00 per month per player |
| “D” license, or 4 years college playing experience | $10.00 per month per player |
